After completing her photography degree at the University of Hertfordshire, United Kingdom, Yoanna and her partner Calvin had founded the Dias Studio LLC, a boutique photography studio based in Dubai, providing architecture, interior, food, lifestyle and portrait photography to hotels and resorts. Having worked in the UAE for many years, she now travels extensively throughout Europe and Africa on assignments operating from the office in Sofia, Bulgaria.

“I love architecture and great designs. I have always been drawn to shapes, textures, colours, and perspectives almost in any object. My trained eye for detail and precision comes hand in hand with the creative approach, which I take the opportunity to utilise while working on assignments for diverse brands. Knowing that we have created something beautiful and enduring at the end of the day is all that matters. I create more than aesthetically pleasing images, I create legacy.”

While blending ambient light with strobe light, she creates natural looking images that stand out, guaranteeing clients satisfaction. Artist by heart, her personal style is about preserving the mood and atmosphere every space creates. 

Her hospitality experience spacing over 15 years has given her a thorough understanding of hotel business operations, marketing, graphic design and advertising. It enables her to not only speak the same language as her clients but to guide them and offer suggestions before and during shoots to successfully manage unforeseen challenges each project presents. This knowledge, alongside Ioanna’s creative intuition, simplicity, meticulous eye to detail and composition, is what sets her work apart.
